Fellow New England based author Diane Stelfox Cook highlights an upcoming book signing and author talk featuring Peggy Lafreniere DeBlois and her debut novel, The Toll Road North.
Peggy Lafreniere DeBlois will visit the Franco Center in Lewiston, Maine at 12 PM on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 to discuss The Toll Road North. Inspired by her own Franco-American roots and hometown of Lewiston, The Toll Road North tells a story that might feel eerily familiar for other New Englanders, in their own ways. DeBlois’s novel spins with an air of mystery that readers of legal thrillers, like Diane Stelfox Cook, can come to enjoy. Stelfox Cook has yet to pick up her own copy of the book, but eagerly embraces the opportunity to support other local authors!
If you’d like to support Peggy Lafreniere DeBlois’s literary debut, be sure to check out her book signing and author talk event at the Franco Center! DeBlois is poised to highlight the way the French-Canadian Catholic community (and her experience in it) impacted the development of The Toll Road North. The author will also be available to answer any questions that readers may have, before or after reading the book. The Toll Road North is published by Maine Authors Publishing, a cooperative-style independent publishing house that supports local writers and readers.
Peggy Lafreniere DeBlois is new on the New England writing scene, when it comes to published fiction. Prior to her debut novel, The Toll Road North, DeBlois enjoyed a career in marketing and journalism. Now, she looks forward to weaving elements of her hometown and its charm into her fiction stories.
