Concord, New Hampshire readers: Gibson’s Bookstore has selected the December book for the Gibson’s Book Club. The group will meet on Monday, December 4, 2023 to discuss Once Upon a Wardrobe by Patti Callahan. New England Author Diane Stelfox Cook features the December read:
If you’re a reader living in New Hampshire, you’ve definitely heard of Gibson’s Bookstore in Concord, NH. If you haven’t heard of Gibson’s, then you just aren’t reading enough! Historic among independent bookstores, Gibson’s Bookstore has been Concord’s indie bookstore since 1898. (Yup. You read that right: 1898; not 1998!) For the last 125 years, Gibson’s has been a legend among readers, book lovers and avid collectors of books from all genres and authors. Although Diane Stelfox Cook certainly can’t say she has supported Gibson’s for even a fraction of that time, she is a vocal supporter of indie bookstores. As a New England based author who loves featuring other writers and their works, she is a huge fan of this iconic indie bookstore.
Gibson’s Bookstore has their own appropriately named book club: Gibson’s Book Club. Diane Stelfox Cook has yet to read the club’s December choice. But she is happy to feature it here. The December read is Once Upon a Wardrobe by Patti Callahan. Readers may also know her as Patti Henry.
